Long time Committee member Tony Houseman of Orange, Texas passed away late last year after a lengthy battle with cancer. He will always be remembered for his great commitment to conservation, game wardens, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and to bringing people to an enhanced knowledge level regarding the importance of conservation and our treasured wildlife resources. In his honor, the Operation Game Thief Committee has now established the Tony Houseman "Tallest of Texans" award, which will be used to recognize individuals and or organizations who have made a real and lasting contribution to conservation in Texas.
